Personal productivity is not just about getting more done, it is the ability to set meaningful goals and managing time, energy and resources while making consistent progress without burning out. True productivity supports mental health, never undermines it!

Unfortunately, many factors can interfere with productivity, some are internal, like limiting beliefs, past traumas and anxiety. Others are behavioural such as difficulties with routine, tasks organisation or maintaining focused. Environmental factors like unhealthy relationships, lack of support, or limited resources can also create a barrier.

That is why productivity troubleshooting goes deeper than just giving tips!

It requires careful listening, holistic analysis and the ability to identify the real blockers holding someone back.

A productivity troubleshooting coach also needs a flexible toolbox- able to teach essential life skills like resourcefulness, budgeting, communication and emotional and cultural intelligence.

2. Productivity Troubleshooting for Referrals (Nonprofit & Public sector)

Non-for-profit and public sector organisations vary widely in their mission and scope, but what they often have in common is the need to help people move forward.

This service is designed to support two types of referrals through partnerships with non-for-profit and public sector organisations:

  • Clients: whether your organisation helps people access housing, education, employment or mental health and wellbeing support, I can help them build skills, reach goals and ultimately, support your service outcomes alongside with supporting their productivity and overall wellbeing.

  • Internal staff or teams: whether you are looking to align and volunteers around your vision, support individual productivity, or reduce stress and burnout, I can support your internal team as well. I alongside your mission to help both staff and volunteers thrive through personalised coaching and skill-based training

While many organisations rely on their skilled internal staff to support their clients and teams, productivity troubleshooting calls a different kind of expertise - One that goes beyond case management and day-to-day support.

furthermore, a 2022 survey showed that over 50% of non-for-profit organisations in NZ were concerned about funding their activities and retaining key team members. In the public sector, staffing levels declined by 3.3% -equivalent to 2,162 full time roles- over just six months in 2024. In this climate, making strategic use of external support is not a luxury but necessity to navigate both financial and staffing pressure effectively.

As an external coach I bring an objective, focused approach that complements your existing services without adding to your team workload.

Investing in this kind of support can improve outcomes, as research shows that coaching can lead to 61% increase in productivity and significantly improve individuals' performance. In fact, studies have found that organisations see and average return on investment (ROI) of nearly six times the cost of coaching.  While non-for-profit and public sector organisations may face different budget constraints, effectiveness, and sustainable impact remains just as critical especially in a time of economy uncertainty, staff shortages and widespread cost-cutting as we're currently experiencing in NZ.

Many non-for-profit and public sector organisations already partner with counsellors and social workers support their clients and teams. Productivity coaching doesn't replace these roles, it complements them.

While counsellors focus on mental health and therapeutic support, a Productivity coach brings a forward-focused, practical approach. Alongside wellbeing, coaching can build essential life skills like budgeting, study & learning strategies, career planning & employment readiness, leadership, organisational habits, emotional and cultural intelligence - tailored to their unique goals and challenges.

External coaching can help reduce pressure on overworked staff, improve volunteers' engagement, and accelerate clients progress- leading to stronger outcomes with fewer long-term costs.

When thoughtful investment leads to greater impact and better use of resources, that's not a luxury, it's a smart mission-aligned decision!
